This is a ghost story open mic for fans of paranormal podcasts, story slams, or simply telling stories around a campfire. The first tale of the evening will be told by our special guest: Haunted Anthracite Tales, a storyteller specializing in tales of hauntings, monsters, mysteries, legends, and macabre history of the anthracite coal region. Automatic entry for the chance to win a spooky prize basket and access to a grazing table are included in ticket price. Wine/beer/drinks (including mocktails) will be available for purchase.
Sign up for storytelling in advance is preferred, but walk-up storytellers are also welcome. Your story may be performed orally or read aloud and should be no longer than 15 minutes. Stories can range from personal experiences, local or family legends, or fictional stories that fit the theme. You will be given a link to sign up for storytelling upon ticket purchase.
Doors open at 6PM. Haunted Anthracite Tales will perform at 7PM, and open mic will last until 10PM. Free parking will be available after 6PM behind the Hooven building and in the lot across the street.
