ABOUT PETE
On Wednesday, July 31st, 2024, Pennsylvania State Trooper Peter Conforti suddenly and tragically passed away off duty at the age of 30. Known to his family and friends as Pete, he enlisted in the Pennsylvania State Police in 2016 and was a graduate of the 146th cadet class. Throughout Pete’s career, he worked in Troops H and L, and was most recently assigned to the patrol section of Frackville and Hamburg stations in Troop L. Pete proudly served and diligently protected the citizens of this Commonwealth for eight years.
Pete was an avid outdoorsman, hunter and collector of antler sheds. He was happiest when he could be in the woods, spending time checking on his trail cameras and sharing his finds with his family and friends. When he wasn’t in the woods, he was by his family’s side. Pete leaves behind his high school sweetheart, Alex and their one-year-old son, Abram.
Pete will be best remembered for his family values, investing in others, and building meaningful friendships. Pete truly enjoyed the companionship, not only of his family, but of his two golden retrievers, Gracie and Lucy.
Big Creek is taking up this cause because Trooper Conforti is related to the Murphy family, who have graced us with their hard work, positivity, and dedication for many years. It wouldn’t be Big Creek without the Murphys.

Wine must be ordered via this form below any day or time prior to 7PM on 9/21, or called in to our shop in Jim Thorpe at 570-325-8138 on the day of Saturday September 21 from 12-7. Payment required at time of order. You may pick up your wine at our Jim Thorpe location during our open hours: Sunday – Thursday 12PM-5PM or Friday/Saturday 12PM-7PM.
